Practical Magic 2 Trailer Previews Sandra Bullock & Nicole Kidman’s Witchy Return
Warner Bros. has finally shared the official trailer for Practical Magic 2, the long-awaited sequel to 1998’s cult classic fantasy comedy. The movie is currently slated to arrive in theaters on September 11, 2026.

What happens in the Practical Magic 2 trailer?
The video features the return of Academy Award winners Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, who are reprising their roles as sisters Sally and Gillian Owens. It reveals Sally’s life as a single mom to two daughters, while Gillian lives a calm and peaceful life with her black cat. Their normal lives are suddenly disrupted by the arrival of an antagonist played by Lee Pace. The trailer highlights the new challenges that the Owens family must face as their past catches up to them.
Joining Kidman and Bullock are Joey King (The Act, The Kissing Booth), Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Xolo Maridueña (Cobra Kai, Blue Beetle), and Solly McLeod (The Dead Don’t Hurt). The sequel will also feature the return of Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing, who will reprise their roles as Aunt Jet and Aunt Franny from the original.
Practical Magic 2 is directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Susanne Bier, with original scribe Akiva Goldsman and Georgie Pritchett writing the screenplay. It is based on the 2021 novel The Book of Magic by Alice Hoffman. In addition to leading the cast, Bullock and Kidman are also serving as producers alongside Denise Di Novi. It is executive-produced by Donald Sabourin. The creative team consists of composer Alan Silvestri, director of photography Simon Duggan, production designer Tom Burton, and costume designer Alexandra Byrne.
