Minecraft 2’s New Title Revealed by Warner Bros. 2027 & Beyond Slate

The official title for A Minecraft Movie 2 has been revealed by Warner Bros. at CinemaCon. The studio announced the Minecraft Movie sequel in October last year. Apart from this, Warner Bros also revealed a full slate of their upcoming movies for 2027 and beyond.

A Minecraft Movie 2 finally has an official title, which Warner Bros disclosed at the 2026 CinemaCon.

Recently, ComingSoon’s Jonathan Sim attended the CinemaCon and conveyed on X (formerly Twitter), “The Minecraft sequel is titled A MINECRAFT SEQUEL. #CinemaCon.” The movie, which has been in the works since last year, is set for release on July 23, 2027. Director Jared Hess will return to the director’s chair for the movie, with Chris Galletta co-writing the screenplay.

In March, it was also announced that Kirsten Dunst has joined the movie alongside Jack Black, Jason Momoa, and more. Giving an update on the movie, Momoa told Jimmy Fallon in January, “Bro, end of April. They’re in it. The script is even better. It’s so good, I was laughing out loud. I haven’t laughed out loud in a very long time at a script. I was perplexed on the first script; this one, I’m laughing out loud.”
