Insidious: Out of the Further Trailer Previews Horror Movie

The first Insidious: Out of the Further trailer has been released.

Sony Pictures’ Insidious: Out of the Further, also known as Insidious 6, will be released in United States theaters this August. Co-written and directed by Jacob Chase, the film will once again star Lin Shaye. The new film follows 2011’s Insidious, 2013’s Insidious: Chapter 2, 2015’s Insidious: Chapter 3, 2018’s Insidious: The Last Key, and 2023’s Insidious: The Red Door.

What happens in the Insidious: Out of the Further teaser trailer?

The Out of the Further teaser trailer sets up another terrifying entry in the Insidious franchise; only, this time, things have changed, as the astral plane known as the Further is now starting to expand into the real world.

The synopsis for the movie reads, “A trio of stalkers infiltrate a quiet suburb and force a new family into the astral plane, where they uncover a terrifying truth: the Further is bleeding into the real world.”

Shaye has been part of the Insidious franchise ever since the first movie, which is when her character, Elise Rainier, who is a medium that can communicate with the Further, first appeared. Despite the fact that Elise technically died at the end of the first Insidious movie, she’s still returned, in some capacity, for all of the sequels and prequels.

Along with Shaye, the cast of Insidious: Out of the Further includes Amelia Eve, Island Austin, Sam Spruell, BrandonPerea, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers. Jason Blum, Oren Peli, James Wan, and Leigh Whannell produce the movie, while David Leslie Johnson (who worked on the script with Chase), Ryan Turek, Steven Schneider, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones serve as executive producers.

Insidious: Out of the Further arrives on August 21, 2026, from Sony Pictures Releasing.
