2025 Sci-Fi Flop With 3 Marvel Actors & More Release on Prime Video This Week
Amazon Prime Video’s TV and movie release schedule for April 13 to April 19, 2026, includes a 2025 science-fiction action film starring three Marvel stars.
On April 17, The Running Man arrives on the streaming giant. Directed by Edgar Wright, it is the second adaptation of Stephen King’s 1982 novel of the same name, after the 1987 film.
The story covers a top-rated television show, The Running Man, which is a dangerous competition. Players must survive 30 days with professional assassins trying to hunt them. Ben Richards decides to enter the competition to gather money for his ill daughter. Things take an interesting turn with Ben emerging as the fan favorite, leading to a hike in the ratings.
The film opened to mixed reviews and failed at the box office, grossing $69.5 million worldwide on a $110 million budget. The star cast boasts of Glen Powell and three Marvel stars: Josh Brolin, Coleman Domingo, and Lee Pace.
Additionally, the biographical drama Sarah’s Oil will be available on Amazon Prime Video. Set in the 1900s, it follows a young Sarah Bector, who believes there is oil beneath her barren land in an Indian Territory. As such, she decides to protect her oil-rich land, leading to her journey of becoming a millionaire.
Also coming to Prime Video is the Korean drama Absolute Value of Romance. The series follows an average student who writes BL romance novels on handsome teachers, which eventually becomes entangled with her real life.
