Beloved Guillermo del Toro Fantasy Movie Sets Theatrical Rerelease Date

Fathom Entertainment has teamed up with Cineverse for the upcoming theatrical rerelease of Guillermo del Toro‘s dark fantasy film Pan’s Labyrinth. During its original theatrical run in 2006, the Spanish-language film received critical acclaim, including winning three Academy Awards out of its six major nominations.

“In 1944 in Spain, Ofelia and her ailing mother arrive at the post of her mother’s new husband, a sadistic army officer who is trying to quell a guerrilla uprising. While exploring an ancient maze, Ofelia encounters the faun Pan, who tells her that she is a legendary lost princess and must complete three dangerous tasks in order to claim immortality,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.

When is the rerelease date for Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth?

According to Deadline, Pan’s Labyrinth is officially returning to theaters on October 9, 2026, in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The 2006 movie will be shown in 4K for the first time, and will also be available in both 3D and HDR by Barco. Cineverse is expected to promote the film’s upcoming special screenings at CinemaCon next week.
