Gunslingers is leaving Netflix next month

The Nicolas Cage-starrer Gunslingers will not be available on Netflix from Friday, May 1 (via What’s on Netflix).

The film centers on Thomas Keller, a notorious outlaw with the highest bounty in history for killing a Rockefeller family member. While on the run, he seeks refuge in a town named Redemption, where ex-outlaws assume identities for a fresh start, guided by ex-outlaw Jericho. After a few years, Thomas’s life catches up to him when a woman and a child come looking for him. They are being hunted by Robert, Thomas’s brother, whose arrival at Redemption leads to violent confrontations.

Brian Skiba wrote and directed Gunslingers. Additionally, he co-produced it under his production studio, SkibaVision. The other producers were Randall Batinkoff, Laurie Love, and Scott Reed. Meanwhile, former Nine Inch Nails touring guitarist Richard Patrick composed the film’s score.

The cast features Cage as Ben, Stephen Dorff as Thomas, Heather Graham as Val, Jeremy Kent Jackson as Robert, Costas Mandylor as Jericho, and William McNamara as Kelly, among others.

Lionsgate handled distribution, releasing Gunslingers directly on digital platforms on April 11, 2025. The film struggled to win over anyone, facing overwhelming criticism from critics and the audience upon release. As a result, it currently holds a low Tomatometer score of 5% and a Popcornmeter score of 18% on Rotten Tomatoes. On Metacritic, the film has a weighted average of 20 from critics and 4.4 from the audience.

Netflix subscribers have until the end of this month to stream Gunslingers on the platform. Currently, there is little information on which platform the Nicolas Cage film will land on next.
