The film’s cast also includes Allison Williams as Morgan Grant, Mason Thames as Miller Adams, Dave Franco as Jonah Sullivan, Scott Eastwood as Chris Grant, Willa Fitzgerald as Jenny Davidson, Sam Morelos as Lexie, and Clancy Brown as Hank Adams.
Regretting You revolves around Clara and her mother, Morgan, as they deal with the aftermath of a tragic accident that reveals secrets and betrayals. The movie performed moderately at the box office and made a little over $90 million globally (via Box Office Mojo). However, it received mostly poor reviews from critics. At the time of this article’s composition, it has a 29% approval rating on the review-aggregating site Rotten Tomatoes after 89 reviews.
Jonathan Sim of ComingSoon.net is one of the critics who had positive things to say about the movie. “Messy, melodramatic, and occasionally moving, Regretting You is a story about the unsteady bridges we build between generations and the love that keeps us trying,” Sim wrote. “It does not always find the right words, but sometimes, the attempt is enough.”
