Alan Ritchson-led Ordinary Angels set to stream on Peacock in April

The faith-based drama, inspired by a true story, is heading to Peacock soon.

According to IGN, Ordinary Angels will be available for streaming on April 21, 2026, expanding its reach.

The Jon Gunn directorial was originally released in theaters on February 23, 2024. It is inspired by events that took place during the 1994 North American cold wave. The story unfolds in a small Kentucky town. Sharon, a struggling hairdresser, unexpectedly becomes involved in a family’s fight for survival. After crossing paths with a widowed father trying to care for his two daughters, she learns that his younger child urgently needs a liver transplant.

Instead of remaining a bystander, Sharon takes it upon herself to organize help and bring together those around her. The cast includes Hilary Swank as Sharon, Alan Ritchson as Ed, Emily Mitchell as Michelle, Skywalker Hughes as Ashley, Nancy Travis as Barbara, and Tamala Jones as Rose, among others.

Ordinary Angels was well-received by both the audience and critics upon release. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds an 84 percent Tomatometer score based on 102 reviews. Meanwhile, its Popcornmenter score stands at 99 percent, reflecting a strong response from viewers.

Marissa Hill of Shade Studios reported, “Ordinary Angels is an inspiring and emotionally rich film about the power of community, redemption, and the extraordinary ways ordinary people rise to the occasion in times of crisis.” She also praised Swank’s performance, noting that it “provides the emotional core of the film, and the performances across the board elevate the material.”

The movie also performed moderately at the box office. Its worldwide collection stood at $20.5 million (via Box Office Mojo).
