Olivia Wilde’s Kinky Sex Movie Sets Release Date After Rave Reviews

Magnolia Pictures has finally set the release date for I Want Your Sex, the upcoming erotic comedy thriller starring Don’t Worry Darling’s Olivia Wilde. Following its world premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, the movie received positive reviews from critics. It currently holds an approval rating of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 34 reviews.

Per Deadline, I Want Your Sex has now been scheduled to arrive in the theaters on July 31, 2026, pitting it directly against Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day. It will also be debuting in the same month as the other high-profile movies like Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, Ben Stiller’s The Dink, and Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead Burn.

“When fresh-faced Elliot lands an exciting job for renowned artist, icon, and provocateur Erika Tracy, his fantasies come true as Erika taps him to become her sexual muse. But Elliot soon finds himself out of his depth as Erika takes him on a journey more profound than he ever could have imagined, into a world of sex, obsession, power, betrayal, and murder,” reads the official synopsis.

The movie is directed by Gregg Araki, who co-wrote the screenplay with Karley Sciortino. The ensemble cast also includes Cooper Hoffman (Licorice Pizza), Mason Gooding (Booksmart), Chase Sui Wonders (The Studio), Daveed Diggs (Hamilton), Charli XCX (The Moment), Johnny Knoxville (Jackass), Margaret Cho (30 Rock), and Roxane Mesquida (Kaboom). It is produced by Araki, Sciortino, Seth Caplan, Michael Heimler, and Teddy Schwarzman. Executive producers are Courtney Cunniff, John Friedberg, Andrew Golov, and Joanne Roberts Wiles.
