Supergirl Clip Featuring Superman Announces Trailer Release Date for DC Movie

A new Supergirl trailer is coming very, very soon.

DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures’ Supergirl will be released in United States theaters and IMAX this coming June. Directed by Craig Gillespie, the movie will see Milly Alcock reprise her DCU role as Kara Zor-El after the character briefly appeared at the end of James Gunn’s Superman movie, which was released in 2025.

DC has now released a short Supergirl clip that features David Corenswet’s Superman. In the clip, Superman is sending his cousin a video message, asking when she’s going to return back to Earth. Supergirl, however, doesn’t seem to be picking up, as she has her own stuff going on.

When is the new Supergirl trailer being released?

The new Supergirl trailer will be released online tomorrow — Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

The synopsis for the movie reads, “When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.”

The cast of Supergirl also includes Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze, Jason Momoa as Lobo, and Ferdinand Kingsley as Elias Knoll.

The new Supergirl movie is based on Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s comic book miniseries titled Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which was published in 2021 and 2022. The script comes from Ana Nogueira, while Gunn and Peter Safran are producing.  Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars P. Winther serve as executive producers.

Supergirl arrives on June 26, 2026. Superman, meanwhile, is currently available to stream on HBO Max, while the next DCU project after Supergirl will be Lanterns, which premieres this August. Clayface is also scheduled to be released this October.
