5 Smashing Daniel Craig Movies & More Are Leaving Netflix Soon

Netflix’s latest blockbuster addition featuring Daniel Craig is already preparing for a swift exit among other James Bond movies. What arrived as a major catalogue drop is now set for a quick turnaround. The update comes as part of wider shifts in how big-name film collections move across streaming platforms.

When all James Bond movies are leaving Netflix

Netflix will remove all James Bond movies on April 21, 2026, in the United States and several other regions (via What’s on Netflix).

The platform added the films in January 2026 through a licensing deal with MGM and kept them available for only three months. The removal covers 25 titles, ranging from Dr. No to No Time to Die.

  • Dr. No (1962)
  • From Russia with Love (1964)
  • Goldfinger (1964)
  • Thunderball (1965)
  • You Only Live Twice (1967)
  • On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969)
  • Diamonds Are Forever (1971)
  • Live and Let Die (1973)
  • The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)
  • The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
  • Moonraker (1979)
  • For Your Eyes Only (1981)
  • Octopussy (1983)
  • A View to a Kill (1985)
  • The Living Daylights (1987)
  • Licence to Kill (1989)
  • GoldenEye (1995)
  • Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
  • The World Is Not Enough (1999)
  • Die Another Day (2002)
  • Casino Royale (2006)
  • Quantum of Solace (2008)
  • Skyfall (2012)
  • Spectre (2015)
  • No Time to Die (2021)

Netflix added the James Bond collection in January 2026 as part of a short-term licensing strategy and scheduled its removal within the same quarter. The platform also released the films across select regions in Europe and Latin America during this limited window.

MGM owns the James Bond franchise, and Amazon acquired the studio in 2022 through an $8.5 billion deal. Since then, Amazon has distributed the catalog through temporary licensing agreements, allowing platforms like Netflix to host the films briefly before returning them to Prime Video and MGM+.

In January, Netflix confirmed that “six decades of 007 films are streaming through April 20,” including Daniel Craig entries. This move marks one of the shortest high-profile licensing runs for a major film franchise on the platform, with all listed titles, including Casino Royale, Skyfall, and Goldfinger, scheduled for removal.

At the same time, development on a new James Bond movie under Amazon is progressing. Screenwriter Steven Knight said, “I mean, I can’t give any details, obviously, but I’m loving it. It’s so much fun,” and added, “Depends on what you mean by ‘soon,’ but yeah. I mean, things are moving along quite nicely” (via Variety).

It is expected to be released in 2028, although casting for the next James Bond is not yet confirmed.
