2 MCU Movies Get Release Dates, 2 Others Delayed by Disney

Two MCU movies have been given release dates, while two others have been delayed.

Marvel Studios released Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps in United States theaters in 2026. Both Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday are scheduled to arrive later this year, while Avengers: Secret Wars is dated for 2027.

What are the new MCU movie release dates?

As a change to its release date calendar, Disney has now announced that a Marvel movie that was previously dated for February 18, 2028, is being delayed until July 28, 2028. Additionally, another Marvel movie dated for November 10, 2028, has been removed from Disney’s schedule entirely.

The good news, however, is that Disney has now given two other Marvel movies release dates on May 4, 2029, and July 13, 2029.

The titles for these projects have not been announced, meaning it’s anybody’s guess regarding what these four movies might be. Black Panther 3, Blade, and Jake Schreier’s X-Men are three MCU movies that fans have been anticipating for some time, now, though when they actually arrive, if ever, remains to be seen.

Other possible titles include a sequel to The Fantastic Four: First Steps, a sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Armor Wars, and some sort of Young Avengers project, though this is all just speculation at this time.

It seems likely that it’ll be some time before we know what these titles are, too, as Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are expected to reshape the MCU in ways that fans likely aren’t going to be able to predict. Both of those movies are being directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers. Doomsday will be released on December 18, 2026, with Secret Wars following on December 17, 2027.
