Channing Tatum Crime Movie With 87% RT Score Streams on Prime Video Today
Paramount Pictures‘ acclaimed crime comedy movie starring Channing Tatum has found a new streaming home, more than five months after it was first released in theaters. Following its world premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, the film has maintained its 87% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 217 reviews.

As of today, Tatum’s 2025 movie Roofman is now officially available to stream on Prime Video. The film was based on the unbelievable true story of Jeffrey Manchester, who robbed around 45 McDonald’s restaurants during the late ’90s. The ensemble cast also included Kirsten Dunst, Ben Mendelsohn, LaKeith Stanfield, Juno Temple, Melonie Diaz, Uzo Aduba, Lily Collias, Jimmy O. Yang, and Peter Dinklage. During its theatrical run, it grossed over $34 million at the global box office.
“The film follows Jeffrey Manchester, a former Army Ranger and struggling father who turns to robbing McDonald’s restaurants by cutting holes in their roofs, earning him the nickname: Roofman. After escaping prison, he secretly lives inside a Toys ‘R’ Us for six months, surviving undetected while planning his next move,” reads the official synopsis. “But when he falls for Leigh, a divorced mom drawn to his undeniable charm, his double life begins to unravel, setting off a compelling and suspenseful game of cat and mouse as his past closes in.”
Roofman was directed by Derek Cianfrance, who co-wrote the screenplay with Kirt Gunn. Tatum also served as an executive producer alongside Cianfrance, Jonathan Montepare, Charles M. Barsamian, Rick Covert, Jack Selby, Sam Romano, Jonathan Glickman, Thom Zadra, Matthew Von Waaden, D. Mark Von Waaden, Chris Parker, Tyler Zacharia, Jeff Portnoy, Steven J. Toll, and Randy Jones Toll. Producers were Jamie Patricof, Lynette Howell Taylor, Alex Orlovsky, Duncan Montgomery, and Dylan Sellers.
