Stranger Things’ Gaten Matarazzo Gets Uncomfortably High in Hulu’s Pizza Movie Trailer

Hulu has released the first Pizza Movie trailer, showing off the wild comedy starring Stranger Things’ Gaten Matarazzo about a pair of friends going on the trip of a lifetime. Pizza Movie is set to debut on April 3, 2026, exclusively on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.

“A shy college student and his reckless roommate set out on a simple mission to grab pizza, but after a strange dose of a mind-bending experimental drug, they’re thrust into a chaotic night of absurd encounters, wild hallucinations, and unexpected revelations that could change their lives forever,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

What happens in the Pizza Movie trailer?

The Pizza Movie trailer follows the story of two college friends who stumble upon an experimental drug. The drug, in the form of a mint, promises to deliver the best high ever, but only when ingested with pizza, something they don’t realize before taking. After ordering pizza, the pair have to navigate the mind-bending effects of the drug while trying to get to their food.

Alongside Matarazzo, Pizza Movie also stars Sean Giambrone, Lulu Wilson, Jack Martin, Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Marcus Scribner, Caleb Hearon, Sarah Sherman, and Justin Cooley. The movie was written and directed by Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher, best known as the sketch comedy duo BriTANicK, who were previously Saturday Night Live writers and who also wrote the upcoming 2026 comedy thriller Over Your Dead Body.

Pizza Movie is produced by Jeremy Garelick, Will Phelps, Billy Rosenberg, Jason Zaro, Molle DeBartolo, Max A. Butler, and Matt Whelan.
