AI Drone Gets Violent in Sci-Fi Horror Movie DRAGN Trailer

Cineverse has shared the official trailer for DRAGN, the upcoming sci-fi horror thriller from director Peter Webber. The movie will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on March 17, 2026.

“The film centers on a group of co-workers on a routine corporate team-building trip, which transforms into a nightmare when they unwittingly become the prey of a rogue AI-driven drone,” reads the official synopsis. “It delves into the fragility of the human mind, the dangers of AI warfare, and the indomitable spirit required to confront terror in an increasingly digital world.”

What happens in the DRAGN trailer?

The video shows a company retreat gone wrong when a group of colleagues suddenly becomes targets of a rogue AI-driven drone. Together, they must find a way to escape the remote forest or find a way to outsmart their AI enemy. The trailer highlights some of the movie’s suspense-filled sequences, including brutal character deaths.

DRAGN is directed by Webber, with Barry Hutchison and Alexander Gordon Smith writing the screenplay. The movie stars James Paxton (Twisters), Lilly Krug (Plane), Carlos Bardem (Assassin’s Creed), Alice Pagani (Don’t Kill Me), Jadran Malkovich (The Ark), Franz Drameh (Legends of Tomorrow), and Alex Lane (A Very Secret Service). It is produced by Alex Lane, Oleg Shardin, and Georgia Witkin.

“I’m fascinated by the way that drones have completely changed warfare and the creeping machinization of everyday life,” Webber said in a statement. “Machine logic is very clean, but the human consequences are muddy, panicked, bloody, and violent.”
