Nicole Kidman recently split from her long-term partner, Keith Urban. She recently opened up about a bond that she shares with her daughter. It includes one of the most iconic films of the 2010s.

Kidman revealed during a recent appearance on the Las Culturistas podcast that her 2011 comedy, Bridesmaids, has become a go-to medicine for her and her daughter. The pair revisit the film and often act it out when they feel down.

“When we’re feeling down, whenever we need a lift, we watch it, we recite it, we act it out, and we do that in the kitchen,” Kidman said in her podcast appearance to hosts Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang. “That’s our savior film,” the Babygirl actress added.

Bridesmaids was directed by Paul Feig from a screenplay by Annie Mumolo and Kristen Wiig. The film starred Wiig as a woman who experiences a series of misfortunes. It is after being asked to become the maid of honor for her friend. The film additionally starred an all-star cast that included Rose Byrne, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper, Melissa McCarthy, and Chris O’Dowd, among others.

The synopsis for the film read, “When Annie Walker’s best friend Lillian gets engaged, she must fulfil her role as maid of honour while dealing with her unsatisfying relationship and her conflict with Helen, another bridesmaid.”
