DCU’s First Green Lantern Gets a New Suit & Name
DC Comics has revealed a new development for a Green Lantern who made his movie debut in the DCU last year. A preview for Green Lantern Corps #14 shows the character receiving a new suit and a new title following recent events in the comics.
Green Lantern Corps. #14 shows new Guy Gardner suit
Green Lantern Corps #14 shows fellow Green Lanterns on Oa worshipping Guy Gardner after recent events. A preview shared online states, “Thanks to his newfound power after DC K.O., Guy Gardner is now being worshipped as the Allsight on Oa.” in DC comics.
In the comic, Gardner gains this transformation after the King Omega tournament, a cosmic conflict affecting multiple DC characters. During the event, Superman shared his King Omega power with other heroes, which infused Gardner with Alpha Energy. Green Lantern Corps #14 depicts Guy Gardner becoming a being called the “Allsight” within the Green Lantern mythology.
Guy Gardner’s new role includes a visual change, with the character wearing green robes and returning to his classic bowl-cut hairstyle. The story shows that he now has a temple on Oa and that Lanterns from multiple corps revere him. The issue states that Gardner can perceive every Emotional Entity connected to the Emotional Spectrum that powers the Lantern rings.
Using this ability, Gardner forms a task force of Lanterns to locate vulnerable Emotional Entities across the universe. These entities include Parallax, associated with yellow fear, and Ion, associated with the green light of willpower. The group plans to bring these entities back to Oa so the Lantern Corps and their allies can protect them.
The storyline also aligns with Guy Gardner’s expanding presence in DC’s screen projects. The rebooted DC Universe introduced the character in 2025’s Superman, where Nathan Fillion portrays him. Fillion’s version also appears briefly in Peacemaker season 2, and the actor confirmed that Gardner will appear in the upcoming Lanterns television series scheduled to premiere in 2026.
