Drag’s First Photos Show John Stamos & Lizzy Caplan’s New Thriller

Fans finally have a glimpse of the unlikely duo leading one of 2026’s most anticipated indie thrillers. First-look photos from the upcoming comedy crime thriller Drag show John Stamos and Lizzy Caplan in a tense and apparently painful standoff.

First look at John Stamos-led Drag revealed

The exclusive Drag photos, courtesy of ScreenRant, offer a peek into the film’s unique premise. The story follows two sisters whose robbery of a rural New York home goes horribly wrong when one of them throws out her back on the second floor. Immobilized and panicked, the duo must find a way to escape before the homeowner returns.

One striking photo shows Caplan splayed out on the floor with an alarmed expression, clearly mid-crisis. Another places her awkwardly in a bathtub, while Stamos sits calmly in front of several pieces of art, flashing a knowing smile. Christine Ko is also featured holding a glass of wine, hinting at the darkly comic tone.

The casting of John Stamos in Drag fans might not be what they expect. Best known as the beloved Uncle Jesse from Full House and Fuller House. Stamos has recently shifted gears with roles in Apple TV’s Palm Royale and Netflix’s The Hunting Wives season 2. Here, he leans into thriller territory.

Caplan brings her own crime-genre credentials. She recently appeared in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t (2025), the third installment of the heist franchise, and starred in Netflix’s political thriller Zero Day as Alexandra Mullen, daughter of Robert De Niro’s character. The ensemble also includes Lucy DeVito (Melissa & Joey) and Christine Ko (Only Murders in the Building).

It’s directed by Raviv Ullman & Greg Yagolnitzer. Drag is produced by Jake DeVito, Lucy DeVito, and Danny DeVito for Jersey Films 2nd Avenue. With music by Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump.

Drag is slated to debut at SXSW 2026, and if these new photos are any indication, audiences are in for a wild mix of crime and chaos.
