What happens in the Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die teaser trailer?
In the initial moments of the teaser, Rockwell’s Man from the Future explains to the diner’s customers that everything will soon go horribly wrong. “I come from a future which is totally, completely f—,” Rockwell’s character says. “And I’m here to set it right.”
The Man from the Future comes from a nightmare apocalypse, so he looks like a “homeless man.” Despite his lack of fashion, the Man from the Future is here to warn the present-day humans about a threat that “doesn’t interface with reality.” It’s like AI, but even more powerful. To save their future, these people will have to trust a man who may or may not be crazy.
Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die’s cast includes Rockwell, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chandhry, Tom Taylor, and Juno Temple.
Gore Verbinski directs Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die from a screenplay by Matthew Robinson. Verbinski will produce alongside Robert Kulzer, Denise Chamian, Erwin Stoff, and Oly Obst.
Verbinski is the director behind the first three Pirates of the Caribbean movies, The Ring, The Lone Ranger, and the Academy Award-winning Rango. This marks Verbinski’s first directorial effort since 2016’s A Cure for Wellness.
Briarcliff Entertainment will release Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die exclusively in theaters on February 13, 2026.
