Bill Skarsgård, Colman Domingo, & Al Pacino Star in Dead Man’s Wire Teaser Trailer
Row K Entertainment has shared the official teaser trailer for Dead Man’s Wire, the upcoming crime drama starring Academy Award nominee Colman Domingo as Fred Temple and It star Bill Skarsgård as Tony Kiritsis. The film will arrive in select theaters on January 9, 2026, followed by a wide release on January 16, 2026.
“Based on a true story, the 1977 kidnapping of a prominent banker grips the nation and turns the abductor into an outlaw folk hero. As the media frenzy peaks, the standoff becomes a spectacle of desperation, defiance, and blurred justice, which resonates even today,” reads the official synopsis.

Who made Dead Man’s Wire?
Dead Man’s Wire is directed by Good Will Hunting filmmaker Gus Van Sant from a screenplay written by Austin Kolodney. The movie also stars Dacre Montgomery (Stranger Things) as Richard Hall, Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride) as Detective Michael Grable, Myha’la (Industry) as Linda Page, Al Pacino (The Irishman) as M.L. Hall, Jordan Claire Robbins (The Umbrella Academy) as Doreen, Daniel R. Hill (Second Chances) as Jimmy Kiritsis, and more. Since its world premiere at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival, the movie has received a perfect Tomatometer rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 29 reviews.
