Carla Gugino Horror Movie Lockbox Gets Terrifying Trailer
Aura Entertainment has shared the official trailer and poster for Lockbox. The newest supernatural horror movie starring Carla Gugino (The Haunting of Hill House) is now scheduled to arrive in select theaters on July 3, 2026.

“Seeking peace after her mother’s death, Ellen retreats to a rural town and takes in her severely traumatized cousin Winthrop. Their fragile domestic balance shatters when an erratic neighbor warns that Winthrop is dangerous. As strange phenomena escalate, Ellen must put everything on the line to defend Winthrop from a dangerous otherworldly entity determined to track him down,” reads the official synopsis.

What happens in the Lockbox trailer?
The video introduces Gugino as Ellen, who decides to take care of her troubled cousin. She’ll soon discover that his cousin’s problems are much more complicated than she expects, after she realizes that her cousin is being targeted by a powerful supernatural entity. The trailer highlights some of the movie’s suspense-filled, terrifying sequences.
Lockbox is directed by The Last Exorcism’s Daniel Stamm, with Justin Yoffe writing the screenplay. It was based on Soren Narnia’s popular story from the Knifepoint Podcast. Joining Gugino are Lou Taylor Pucci as Winthrop, Donald Sales as Det. Rousch, Jason McKinnon as Breslow, Darcey Johnson as Father John Dorr, Lee Tichon as Kevin, and more. The movie is executive-produced by David Magee and Shawn Williamson, with Kearie Peak serving as a producer. The creative team consists of cinematographer Alfonso Chin, editor Bridget Durnford, and composer Matthew Rogers.
