Hulu Adds Kate Beckinsale’s Divisive Action Movie Today
A Sony Pictures action horror movie starring Kate Beckinsale has been added to Hulu‘s library. During its theatrical run, the 2017 movie received negative reviews from critics. It only grossed over $81 million worldwide against a reported budget of $35 million.

As of today, 2017’s action horror movie Underworld: Blood Wars is finally available to stream on Hulu. It was the fifth and final installment of the popular Underworld film franchise, which was created by Len Wiseman, Danny McBride, and Kevin Grevioux. In the film, Beckinsale reprises the iconic vampire warrior Selene, who is now being hunted by both vampires and lycans. The film currently holds a 21% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while its Popcornmeter score is slightly higher at 49%.
“The film follows Vampire death dealer, Selene, as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David and his father Thomas, she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice,” reads the official synopsis.
Underworld: Blood Wars was directed by Anna Foerster, with Cory Goodman writing the screenplay. The movie also starred Theo James as David, Tobias Menzies as Marius, Lara Pulver as Semira, Bradley James as Varga, James Faulkner as Cassius, Oliver Stark as Gregor, Charles Dance as Thomas, and more. It was executive-produced by James McQuaide, Eric Reid, Ben Waisbren, Skip Williamson, and Henry Winterstern. Producers were Wiseman, David Kern, Gary Lucchesi, and Tom Rosenberg.
